Alpine ski app

Can built-in ski app be configured so it counts also uphills into total distance? (I admit, it makes better sense the way it is now, I just need it differently)

    probably not.  Have you looked to see if there are any CIQ apps or data fields that do skiing?  They might have such an option, or you might be able to contact the developer to have the option added.  There is likely a better chance you'd get them to add such a feature than for Garmin to add it.

    Are you referring to recording uphill distance you've climbed or chairlifts?  I never tried it, but would the XC Skiing app help?

    yes, that's what I mean. XC skiing doesn't count "runs" (ie runs up) - which is what I'd like to count; otherwise I could go for any other activity type. But thanks.

    I'd suggest you buy the FR 955; there's a bug and the built-in ski app is counting also the chairlift ascent in total elevation and mileage...so crazy...
