Connection problem

Has forerunner 945 and Samsung 9s set up with sync. But the link is constantly falling out. When I go into the app I am notified that it cannot find the watch. Have tried restarting both the watch and the phone, turning on/off  bluetooth,, but stille not reconnecting. have to end the link and reconnect from the watch . Then it works fine for a little while before it falls out again. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?
