Hello,

perhaps if the power manager will come to the 945, we'll get this as well :-) : https://support.garmin.com/en-IE/?faq=UKdcLjyUEZ4xdiX5HWzgp7
Why do you want to schedule airplanemode?
Is it to be not disturbed at night? You can set your sleep hours en enable Sleep Time. This wil enable do not disturbe during those hours.
Or is it to preserve battery? Don't know a solution, but I also don't think you will gain a lot
Or is it to limit bluetooth/ant+ radiation? Maybe ask someone with tin foil hat experience ;)
The most of owner do not use Wifi, BT ... at the night.
You have to have a BT connection during your sleep window if you use "calibrate not in activity".

Why just guess?
When I tested this, the hourly drain dropped from ~0.4%/hour to <0.05% per hour. Over an 8 hour sleep period (i.e. 1/3 of the time) that's pretty significant, extending the overall battery life by about 30%
The subsequent comment from @tess about elevation calibration is more pertinent, but doesn't seem insurmountable - they could just turn the radio back on for the minute or two that takes if in airplane mode due to sleep schedule.

Hmm. my forerunner 935 could last for 2 weeks in smartwatch mode, but normally I will get 4 or 5 days out of it due to work outs. I really don't think turning off sensors at night will increase the 4 to 5 days very much.
If you only use it in smartwatch mode, or don't exercise that much, maybe it might have an impact.
reduce the radiation WLAN/BT on my Head
I have a foil lined nightcap for the night and wear a foil lined baseball cap during the day because of all the radiation that is around us now.

Don't stop with just your head. Protect your entire body when you sleep:

For an additional $58 you can add the "Brain Coat", or the "EMF Protection Headgear" for $56 found under 'frequently bought together' on this link to cover your head. Both are quite stylish and can be worn 24/7. They come in a light grey color, so they won't clash if worn with formal dining attire. No more worries in case Garmin doesn't implement your idea.
