Can I delete large CoreService\Downloads\Map ....?

I have a bunch of large files in this directory, can I delete these? If I delete these, will they be re-downloaded (ever so slowly)? There's a total of about 15.5 GB in the Map folder.

Those are image files of maps you have downloaded. Best if you copy and save them to your computer in case you need them in the future.

Well .. the reason I'm asking about deleting them is because I need the disk space

You can remove them from the watch to gain space of course, I'm just suggesting you save them in case you find it was something you actually need. This way you can just paste them back instead of downloading them again.

I'm talking about the disk space on my PC .. if I remove these from my PC, will the also automatically be removed form the watch (presumably next time I sync the watch with Garmin Express)? I'd have hoped that once they are installed they would stay on the watch, but I'm not sure how this mechanism is set up.

I see. Deleting them from your PC will not remove them from your watch. It recognizes your 945 as a separate drive and your computer as drive C.
