HR Zones calculation always reset to MaxHR

My HR Zones are auto calculated based on the % of LT on Garmin Connect and The android app by default, so I have manually set my FR945 to use the same settings.
I also had to set the Lactate threshold manually on my watch to match Garmin Connect and the App (and get the matching HR Zones).

I go out for a run, everything is great, the HR zones are great, no problem until I end the workout and it sync automatically to my phone, then my FR945 settings for the zones are all reset to MaxHR with values that do not match what I see on my phone and Garmin Connect.

I do not mind that the MaxHR changes, that's ok but those changes should be seen on all platform not just one ...
The main problem for me is the Zone calculation being reset to MaxHR instead of % of LT, I cannot run with those settings so I need to reset it manually before every run .... Disappointed

Is that "sync and reset" behavior standard to FR945 or have I missed some settings ?

  • Set the zone calculation method in Garmin Connect (web version), and let that cascade down to the watch via a sync. Setting it on the watch can get overwritten after a sync.

You may also want to check whether the sport-specific heart rates are set to your chosen method.

Also, recheck things after an update - the LTHR method in particular seems to have issues after a firmware update.

I've changed the calculation setting to MaxHR then back to %LT to force a sync from Garmin Connect.
So far that did the trick and all settings are now correct on my match! Smiley
I'll do a test run tomorrow and post again.

    Thanks Mcalista
