Am I the only person having issues with the 945 turning its self off when you use the light button?

When using the light button , it goes to the power off, the emergency call and then turns its self off. It's done this since the last update.

This is easy:
Its a defective switch. You push it in and it stays pushed. Just contact Garmin Support and ask for an RMA

If you press the light button for 15-20 seconds, the watch will turn itself off. This is normal. It's how you do a reset/reboot of the device.
