Yesterday and today I woke up and my watch was in update mode. Is there a way to turn auto-update off?

Yesterday and today I woke up and my watch was in update mode.

Both times It said "preparing to update" and was unresponsive.

After about 20 minutes I manually forced a reboot, and then when it eventually relaunched it said my watch was updated to 3.90.

Is there a setting where you can control when updates happen? I'd prefer for them to only happen when I trigger them.

I see there's an "auto update apps" toggle but I thought that was for my installed apps and not for the watch itself.

nevermind I found it. It's within the watch (not within the mobile app). It's found under System -> Software Update -> Auto Update.
