Any way to manually edit the LOAD on an activity?

So this morning I go for a ride and my Forerunner 945 freezes up on me.
It freezed at about 2h15 at which point my LOAD data field already showed about 265.
Pressing start/stop or any other button did nothing at all.

After holding the power button in for a while the device resets and I was able to tell it to "resume" the activity.
Interestingly it still seemed to track my time and distance while it was frozen, so afterward that shows up correctly:

But after the restart my LOAD started from scratch and now shows up as only 149:

So my "coach" (as I like to think of it) thinks I'm slacking off, but actually I should be within target for my 7 day training load:

When I try to edit my ride, I only see the following options:

Does anybody know of a way to manually edit the LOAD on an activity?

Also: is there a way to prevent my 945 from freezing up on me in future?

  • Tell me when I’m wrong. But when save an activity with a load of say 10, my 7-day load will rise 10. After deleting that activity my 7-day load stays at 10 and never recalculates (again).

What I’m saying is, I have a 7-day load of x with 0 activities in the last 7 days. Is it just me?

Why are we so sure editing the fit file will do the trick?

(just asking, really appreciate the work OnlyTwo and others put in)

    no offence taken Wink

thx for the info and to chime in

not sure at all, just trying if it works with changing the value

and I think that file had something missing because of the crash

Tell me when I’m wrong. But when save an activity with a load of say 10, my 7-day load will rise 10.

what I think I know Slight smile  is that the oldest load value get's subtracted and the latest one added with the latest upload

but what do I know, I have not enough data on Garmin's platform

After deleting that activity my 7-day load stays at 10 and never recalculates (again).

strange not ? it should drop ? or Garmin blocks it in the background

So, it could work (again guessing) when we change the activity as a second one for that day Slight smile

    too much unknowns sadly ...

  • I wasn't sure if I was only supposed to try one of those files, so I sommer uploaded all of them, as reflected in my numerous activities:

My "coach" still thinks I'm slacking off though:

Then I also tried deleting "duplicates", but still no luck.

Bless you guys for keeping up the effort though. Sunglasses
