Bluetooth not connecting.

Hello. I am using 10 days my FR945 very happy. Out of the blue today It stopped the sync and I am just getting the error "error with sync".

I tried everything in the support page as remove the device from the Bluetooth phone, removing from Garmin connect, deleting and installing again the app, restarting both telephone and device...but still not working.

Someone experienced something similar?

Thanks

  • Mine won't connect at all consistently anymore either.  It's kinda BS.  Someone posted that the BT stack got updated, I want to roll that back cause it's really not functional now.

  • Android, Pixel 2XL.   Worked fine forever. Then the latest BT update completely broke my watch working with my phone.

  • Have you looked in the GCM Android forum? Anything change on Android?

  • On my Oneplus 5 I get BT hanging with the FR945 (all other BT devices are *fine*). Normally hard killing GC app and turning BT off and back on then starting the app fixes it. No action on the watch required.

My iPhone XR just stopped seeing my Forerunner 945 on Bluetooth. Restarted phone, Bluetooth, watch, Connect, removed device, nothing works.

  • I have a similar problem with Forerunner 945 which I have had for just over a week now. This AM there was no connection to the phone (android), and I tried all things directed in support forum including "remove device" and tried to add again - no luck for three tries. Fourth try  I restarted phone and tried to connect again, and success. Don't know if phone restart really helped or if 4th time is charm.

I really like the watch but would like Garmin to fix this issue. Similar thing happened on Fitbit but usually a restart of fitbit device was all needed to do.  Given 2-4x price point of Forerunner to FB I do expect better quality and responsiveness.

  • Hi all. I thought i replied here. In the end it was a issue from the phone so I had to restart app and pairing. It was with a Samsung Galaxy J6.
