Forerunner 945 Display Issues - Distortion/Zooming Error

I received my 945 a few days ago. Watch ran great for a day then the screen started having a distorted zoomed in display that would randomly happen. The watch then would correct itself then randomly distort again throughout the day. I contacted Garmin and they told me to send it in for repair or replacement and it was the first time the support person heard of such an issue. I was wondering if anyone had any similar issues they were able to resolve themselves before I send it in. The watch is updated to the most recent software. I attached photos of the distorted zoomed in thing that would happen to the display. Thank you!!

You may attempt a Secondary Master Reset first, which would be my first try to solve it,

If that does not fix it (most likely it won't...) create a support ticket at Garmin Support and you will get a replacement soon.

Otherwise you may also contact your retailer who also should be able to replace it.

A reset may resolve this for you, but I would advise you to follow through with the RMA that Support suggested. I also haven't seen this and would like to see you get into a new device.

Just came across this when searching for solutions as I am having the same issue in 2022. Am about to return the watch which is under 2 years old and now pretty useless as the screen distortion is preventing any touch screen operation. Shame because its been very useful and I was pleased with it when gifted.

Are you sure your watch is a 945? The 945 doesn't have any touch screen... or at least mine doesn't... but anyways, did you try and reset it or contact Garmin?

No sorry mine is a Vivoactive 3.
