Forerunner 945 Treadmill Calibration

I know there’s been discussion on here about accuracy and how to calibrate for treadmill, but my watch isn’t even giving me the option to calibrate anymore.  Even when I’ve calibrated it in the past it’s never really been that accurate, but now it doesn’t even give me the option.  Regardless of running speed on the treadmill it always say 22:00/mile on the watch.  I’ve run multiple variations of distance over 1 mile logged on the watch and it still doesn’t give me the option.  Super disappointed.  Any thoughts or help?  Thanks.

James

  • Pretty much a similar experience.  What’s really disappointing is that after the most recent software upgrade, I thought this problem had sorted itself out. Was actually getting a pretty accurate read.  However I went track on the treadmill and it was actually worse than before, it that’s possible.  Really disappointing, to put it mildly.

I stopped using my 945 and went back to my Vivoactive due to the treadmill issue.  Yeah, I stopped using my new and expensive watch to use the watch the cost me a 1/3 of what this one did.  I was assured by support that it was a known problem.  Said they hoped to have an update to fix it by mid November and that I would be added to the ticket to receive an email.  I haven’t received an email.  But since my vivoactive was dead and currently charging, I used my 945 on Wednesday and Thursday.  Gave me great readings both times.  Now tonight, was reading sub 8 minutes (and I’m not that fast).  I stopped and calibrated it only to have it swing wildly in the opposite direction when I started fresh again).  I have no clue what’s going on.  But I wish they would get it fixed.
