"Walk Indoor" activity profile ATTACHED

The "Walk Indoor" activity type isn't available on some devices.

I found it on a Forerunner 245 (which shares the UX/UI of the 945, as well as a 240x240 screen) and copied the file off the device.

When copied over to the "Sport" folder on my 945, it correctly shows up on the device as "Walk Indoor", and logs as a walk, with GPS disabled. I've attached the file (contained in a .ZIP archive) for anyone else who is missing this.

Filename is "WalkingWalk_Indoor.fit".

From what I gather looking through the Sports folder, the first word in the filename is the sport type it gets logged as (Walking) and the second part represents the name it shows up as on your device (Walking Indoor).

I second this.

As a workaround, I copied a Walk profile and just turned GPS off.

I have the "Walk Indoors" profile on my 945. It has always been on it.

For what it's worth, it doesn't exist on my fenix 5 plus. But yes, I think badbri has the right solution; a "Walk Indoors" would be identical to just "Walk", with the GPS turned off. I wouldn't think there would be any other difference.

I've had my watch since May 1st and I've never had it. Just looked and there's no option to add it either. The closest app would be "indoor track".

Yup. Same. I'm on what I imagine is a "Rev-A" 945 - the "Down" button is marked "DOWN" not with a musical note.

Which revision of 945 do you have? (musical note on the "down" key or triple chevrons pointed down?)

I have the triple chevrons, I believe it was REV A or B but I cannot currently verify this, I got it early June. I do have the tri-bundle version so maybe there was some difference with how they imaged that although I wouldn't have thought so. I checked on the device in the Garmin->Sports folder and the activity WalkingWalk_Indoor.fit exists as well it shows as a Garmin activity on Express it shows as Walk Indoor by Garmin.

It just may have something to do with the bundle package then. If you would be kind enough to do so, would you go into your activities folder, copy the file and send it to me in a private message. I'd really like to have this activity and would appreciate it very much.

I don't know which revision of 945 I have, but it does have the musical note on the "down" button and not chevrons. Does this mean I have a 'D'?

Maybe I am an idiot but I seem unable to create a private message. It won't allow me to actually select any recipients. Not sure if it the forum software is the issue, something I am doing wrong or other.
