Forerunner 945 System SW 3.30 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile. 

Change Log System SW 3.30

  • Added PacePro feature.
  • Added additional data field configurations (5 and 6 field).
  • Added graphical gauge data fields (i.e. Heart Rate, Cadence, etc.)
  • Improve ANT+ and BLE sensor management
  • Improvements to phone and sensor connectivity
  • Improvements to headphone pairing, connectivity, and media player
  • Improvements/fixes for WiFi connectivity (fix for 0200 Error)
  • Improvements to golf
  • Improvement/fixes for Connect IQ
  • Improvements/fixes for Spotify
  • Bluetooth software update to address battery life issues that could occur on some devices
  • Some improvements for segments/Strava segments
  • Fix blocky elevation issue
  • Fix potential device freeze on activity summary loop
  • Brought in treadmill calibration improvement. There is an additional issue with calibration that is being actively investigated for release
  • Various other fixes and improvements

    this FW3.30 update is perfect, with Pulse OX enabled during night i have 6% battery drain in 24hours! WHOOP Clap

    3.30 fixed the battery problem I had since day one but created a problem for others. It seems the cause is not so much a faulty battery or electronics but the Bluetooth software and how it behaves with the gamut of mobile devices out there.

    I bought my 945 Rev d, software 2.80, 3 Weeks ago. Connecting with my iPhone (os 13) worked sometimes, but most of the time not. I had to disconnect and connect again. So I gave it up after doing this several times.
    Connecting the JBL Jump ear phones was not possible. I wanted to give back the watch but then I have seen here that there will be an update soon.
    So after updating to 3.30:
    Pairing with iPhone works good. I always get my smart notifications. Pairing with my JBL Jump works good as well. Sound was very good yesterday evening in the dark wood. The 6 datafields are very good!

    Maybe someone has a solution.

    I'm having massive BT/BLE and ANT problems since the update to 3.30. Most of the time connecting iphone and sensors doesn't work. This happens during workouts and during normal operation.

    I downgraded (Firmware, Sensor Hub and ANT/BLE/BT) to the 2.8, what seemed to fix the problem. After normal upgrade everything worked as expected for the first day, but today iphone and sensors do not connect.

    This behavior is annoying. 

    I think i have to contact Garmin support on Monday ... Disappointed

    Try do a master reset, in theory the new BT/BLE/ANT+ module should have bring some improvements. At least for me things now are better. But I had other problems so I did a master reset and now everything is ok

    That’s what I did before. As it did not solve the problem I made a downgrade, which is also a full reset. 
    And now after upgrade again nothing works :(

    a user of the fenix forum wrote: "I needed to remove Fenix 6 complitely from my phone Bluetooth devices to get this working again". Try do the same thing remove the watch from the phone and try to reconnect again.

    I did it but it does not appear .... is there any way to force the update?
