HRM RUN + 945 bug?

Hi,

945 last official firmware

HRM RUN last firmware (its from 2017 i think) (the one with the running man icon)

NEVER had a problem with 920xt+hrm run.

Now, in a random way i have 2 o 3 "bug" (i dont know how to name it)

The bpm went in a "normal way"...120...130...140 with my normal pace is ok........ suddenly went up....165-170-175... tried to put it and relocalize in my body with no changes in bpm....175...174....179... and stuck in 180-185.

Today was the 3rd time that happened so i take off....and.... yes!!! the bpm stills show 180...

As i said is RANDOM....yesterday was very pacefull and i know my efforts....it showed the 130-155 and was ok.

Is it a bug? the battery is almost new.... in fact iam thinking in the 945 and not in the HRM RUN.

By the way, the 945 gps is near a bullsh..... my very old 305....my 405....my 410....my 920 were better in the "tracking" in the SAME day, SAME track.

thank you.

  • I don't have any problem with the 945 (firmware 2.70) nd the HRM Run. Are you sure it is connected correctly during your activity? Maybe try to disconnect it and connect again.

  • Change the battery in the HRM

  • phillip... the battery "is" new...and also...why is random if the problem is the battery? Thank you

  • yes its connected.i think i disconnected once and reconnect with the same effect... bpm at full throtle....i will check this again. thank you.

  • Because that is what happens sometimes with the battery. This is the strap with the detachable module? How old is the strap. They breakdown over time? I usually get a year to 18 months before I have to replace the strap.

  • The battery is about 1 month... the strap about 2,5 years in a perfect condition.

  • I would be looking to try a new strap. It might look fine but over the years they breakdown (as I've already said) and can lose connectivity. The only way to rule out an issue with the strap is to get a new one. They're not expensive. The breakdown. It's not a bug - and I do wish people would keep suggesting every problem they have is a bug!).

Oh, and always worth trying another new battery as sometimes even new batteries have problems.

  • I have had a similar problem a year ago with my good old fr 630. No heartrate at all of a constant rate of 150’s flat out. It was the strap that was faulty. After changing the Battery i had still the same but after a new strap i never had the problem  again.

  • Sometimes you can verify the strap with a multimeter. Recently I had a similar issue (Polar H7) and finally I got so frustrated that I just dismantled the strap. From the outside the strap was like new. Inside, the conductive rubber around the snaps was all cracked. Seems they were losing connectivity when I was running. So even if the strap looks like new it can still be worn out.
