I think you've answered this with your own statement.  They're two different product lines with different features.

Garmin has states that they were coming (DCRainmaker confirmed it) but they have been slow to roll it out. My understanding was that internally a 945 is essentially a plastic Fenix and so it’s capable of everything a Fenix is.
