Why is changing straps on a Garmin 945 such mental ***.

Trying to Change the strap on my Garman 945 is shear mental ***. Trying to insert two screwdrivers one each side of the strap into tiny screws that you cannot see because they are hidden inside thetrap is driving me insane. Do people gaffer tape the watch to a table and then get two people to approach one from each side or do they just peel the old strap off with a razor blade I need some helapparently I don’t have the dexterity or patience thanks

I used one hand on top of the watch to fixate it and hold one screw driver. The other - dominate - hand was used to actually open the screw. I admit I was happy when it was done

I had the torx screwdrivees that used to come with bands (I forget the size off hand, but I'm thing 5 or 6), and took off the band that came with the watch, and screwed the rod back together, then used a quickfit band from another watch (just clipped it on)

You do need two of the screwdrivers so you can hold one side and loosen from the other side. Took maybe a couple minutes, but the screws are tiny so be careful not to lose one!

Both of mine didn't come with quick release and I'm not buying one.

LOL! Yeah, I ditched the screwdrivers for strap changes. Get a mini ratchet wrench and appropriate Torx bits. Using the screwdrivers that come with Garmin bands is like trying to balance a broom handle on your finger tip.
