Barometric altimeter

Hello people!
I come from a Forerunner 235 and I am a little lost with the theme of the altimeter, which was one of the things I did not like about the previous one, since I was marked by GPS some unevennesses many times erroneous.

The fact is that I don't know how to deal with that issue in 945.
Should we do something special, or is it ready at the factory?
On the routes, which you take out by GPS, will the height be as indicated by the altimeter?

Nothing special needs to be done, the barometric altimeter will be used.

And is there a way to activate / deactivate that function manually or is it always like this?

Hi,

Coming from the vivoactive 3 I found it here working as it should at last!

Yet, you do need to decide if you want the altimeter fixing to be done only on the beginning of the activity or also during it.

Also, when calibrating, you can calibrate it manually by typing a height or by GPS or by DEM.

Keep in mind to have a look at the height data before starting the activity as few time I did found myself with wrong reading. I ended w/o saving the activity, calibrated it by GPS/DEM and then restarted.
