Can you make a pacepro strategy from one of your own completed activities?

I have some races coming up which aren't on the pacepro "map". I have ran all 3 of them previously, is it possible to use them to create a pacing strategy, or even upload them to the pacepro map to select from there? Apologies if I'm missing something simple here. TIA.

  • If you have completed them previously you can save the activity as a course then use that to create the PacePro strategy.

If you can get them as a course you can load that into GCM (or interweb). You can then create the PacePro strategy from the course. However, there are reports of some problems if the course you follow is not the same as the course you've used to create the PacePro plan. I've not verified this but it appears that PacePro does not cope well with having to change things on the fly on the watch.

  • Excellent, thanks very much. Added the courses through chrome and created pacepro route and they now appear on GCM. Cheers.

  • Anyone else thinks this feature is not usable at all? I just created a plan for an upcoming race and the altitude is  just nowhere near the reality. Garmin connect says it has ~1200 meters up und down. PacePro creates a plan with 350 meters. I than  tried with different tracks, everytime the same. I also tried it with an race i already done. My garmin watch nearly has the same altitude count als the official race data, so these values are correct. Pacepro makes a plan  with !400! Meters less.

The goal of pacepro is not usable at all with this data, i mean you should pace yourself in the hills and get faster going down, but if these values are totally wrong, this does not make sense at all?
