My wife has Respiration stats on her Fenix 6s pro. I tought the 945 has the same sensors as the Fenix 6 series. Is this something that can be turned on in the 945 to show?

Thanks, I have the Tri and Swim and it doesn't show when I run with the Tri or swim with the Swim.
I reread your post. Are you looking for the data on the watch itself? My respiration rate shows in Garmin Connect following my activity. Is it different on the F6 and displaying on the watch?
Correction, sorry it does show up for *some*. Will need to investigate why it doesn;t for the rest
The GC app now on selected runs show Respiration under the second tab on the activity and the website shows it there as well. On the Fenix 6 it shows it as a band in "My day"
...and my wife doesn't have any external hrm with her Fenix, so not sure what's the difference of not needing external straps there
I'm not sure about the F6. I have read in this forum that a chest strap was required with the 945. The only time I get results is when I'm wearing a strap and I'm unaware of the data being shown on the watch itself. I would be interested hearing if others have different results. I don't see anything in settings either.
This is what I'm missing on the 945 (the last line)
I'm not sure. This is the thread I was referring about.
I do see you can set respiration rate as a data field, but I can't find any info if a ext strap is required.
Yes, thanks, that thread is talking about activity related respiration, which we can get with external hrms on the 945. What I would be interested in is getting an overall (out of activity) avg daily respiration - which apparently can be calculated from hr data.
