Hi all! I'm consistently experiencing pace 'spikes' during runs and this is also recorded on the Garmin Connect app/portal, but only when I'm running with the HRM-TRI chest strap connected. I do not see noticeable GPS (from maps) jumps when this occurs, and looks like only the pace is affected. These spikes can last for a short 3-4 secs usually, sometimes longer, sometimes slower by a good 90 secs per KM or faster by up to 60 secs or so during those pace anomalies. The final KM splits are usually a couple of secs off +/-, but the pace graphs look extremely jagged as opposed to being smoothed out.
I'm currently running 2.70 firmware on the 945, but this has been the case since day 1 of purchase regardless of firmware version. I've tried running using just the OHR, and it seems to be fine with no spikes displayed during runs and the graph looks 'normal'. I have the wrist heart rate status set to 'Auto' but have tried outright turning it off when paired with the chest strap, but am still getting the same spiky results. I've tried hard resets and not use 3rd party data screens/widgets. No joy.
I'm running with a FR645 on my other wrist for pace benchmark purposes (without pairing it with the chest strap).
Any idea guys? Is there something I can do or some config that I may have missed?
