Using yoga activity, the BRPM doesn't register. Should this be working or do I have something setup incorrectly? Also, should it count poses automatically?

I hope the HRM isn't required. I don't want to use the HRM in yoga. I did have one yoga session that did register brpm on my last 945 (returned) so it seems possible. As for poses, that would be a hassle if not impossible to remember all the poses. Was hoping it would guess like the strength training feature does.
We understand that not all users enjoy wearing an external HR strap, but this is necessary for the respiration rate feature to work. For more information, please visit the FAQ on Firstbeat's site here.
Blake thanks for the info. Why do you think one of my yoga session showed my BRPM without wearing the HRM? Garmin Connect activity even shows a chart.
Also can the watch automatically count poses in yoga similar to strength training reps?
Please can you advise, as requested, if the device will automatically count yoga poses. Given that count of yoga poses comes up as part of the default screen recording the activity in Connect, one would assume that it does ... if so, how do you set it up pls?
No, it doesn’t. I had the same question and was told you have to go back in after your workout and manually enter in each pose and duration (which is completely useless) It seems like a waste of even adding that option is it doesn’t record ANYTHING on its own.
