Garmin 945 RMA

hey guys - quick one - does garmin uk offer a new (boxed) or a refurbished watch as an exchange? my 945 developed the mushy button complex and today i received the rma number. share your experiences please ;-)

  • Well. A week after Garmin received my 945, and only after I enquired about it, I am told that my RMA is not moving forward for now since "stock is unavailable" and that stock should become available before the end of the month. This is not the first issue with this RMA process that makes me feel that customers are not faced with due seriousness by Garmin.  I am already two weeks without my device that I paid a premium price for, a device that I was using on a daily basis; all because of manufacturing issues. And I had to pay for return shipping, something that is against the law.

  • Three weeks after sending my RMA, 2 weeks after Garmin received it, and I have a brand new Rev D 945 in my hands, with much better buttons. Despite being told that they'll get stock sometime "this month" and then that the device is "not in stock until the 24th".

    Thanks Garmin. Your RMA process needs work.
