The Garmin Connect site and app does not register heart rate on my day heart rate section during activities recorded with another Garmin device.

The Garmin Connect site and app does not register heart rate on "my day" heart rate section during activities recorded with another Garmin device, although  I have physio true up enabled. The heart rate is recorded normally in the activity itself.

In the attached screenshot, during the first activity I had the 945 monitoring HR as well with the chest monitor. (Observe the gap in the HR Details page)

During the second cycling activity I have the 945 completely off.

Both activities where recorded with edge 530.

Physio True Up is on on both devices 945 and 530.

I believe this to be a bug of the site and application algorithm, where the HR of the preferred tracking device is only recorded in the all day HR graph.

Thanks in advance.

  • this view is only for the HR measured with the Fitness Tracker option, if you record a activity you have 2 different measurements of HR

if i record with my Edge 830 and HR strap, the watch measures my hr with OHR too, to get Intensity minutes and so, when i compare the graphs, they are not totally equal, cause HR strap measures more precise as the OHR on the watch.

if you switch off the watch it is clear you have a gap in this graph, that have nothing to do with Physio True up

  • It was working until 3rd of september, after that there is no more sync...
My bike activites are recorded with an Edge530 while I'm wearing the 945 as a simple watch...

Since 5th of septembre Edg530 HR is not synced anymore even if it's perfectly recorded...

I can see the HR recorded on the activity but it's not synched on the dayly HR monitoring anymore...

  • i don't see any difference, on the first you have higher hr as on the second one, here my Edge 830 ride from yesterday with wearing the FR945:

the gap comes from charging FR945 later, everything looks fine

  • Except that most of the time while I'm biking (MTB) my HR is over 160 BPM ... and it's not reported anymore... it seems now Connect does an average on what the watch records and what the edge records ...

  • my avg of Edge 830 activty and Fittness Tracker (FR945) is nearly the same ~130bpm:

EDITH: could it be, that you have different HR zones for normal activities (primary) and different cycling HR, especially LTHR?

  • Something changed since Septembre 3rd ...

And I wonder if it's not related to FR 945 2.80 firmware ...

  • If I do not have the watch with me but I record an activity with another Garmin device the HR should appear in the graph as well. Otherwise I must have the watch with me always, it seems not logical.

  • I'm using Beta since yesterday but didn't do any ride yet ...

  • today i will do a run on FR945 beta, on friday possible a ride with new 830 beta, let us see and compare!

anyway, cool retro watchface done by u, i was big in the C64 scene Heart eyes

but think i can't use it, cause using varifocals eyeglasses Older man
