Cannot make connection to wifi network. Errorcode 0200.

Just got a new FR 945 and have setup wifi.... did this through garmin express, garmin connect and the device itself and all find my network and then say “connection made”.

But when I try to sync through wifi it searches for about a minuut for wifi networks and then gives an errormessage “Cannot make connection to wifi network. Errorcode 0200.”

Does somebody know this error code or have any suggestions to fix this?

Running firmware 2.80

I had the same problem (Error 0105,0200 etc). I removed the wifi password, made it an open network. Ensure your router or hotspot is in 802.11g (2.4 Ghz). And it connected successfully

Hi Ralf_23,

your issue seems simulair, only different error code.

With my previous FR 945 I did not have this issue at all.

Hi TheRealCount,

Sound strange to me.

On one side it looks like a Software or Configuration Topic (but Garmin can not help to solve), but when you did not have that with an other FR945 it hints to an hardware failure.

I'm also disappointed with the accuracy of the wrist oHR in comparison with my chest strap (especial outdoor cycling) , but I do not know if it really get better after changing.

Just did a hard reset, did not solve this issue.

Is their an option to manually reinstall separately only the wifi firmware part?

Our should I wait for the next complete firmware update, and hope it will reset something ?!

On Dutch forums now also Fenix 6 users are having this issue.

I'be been using wifi sync for a long time, but since last week, im having the same issues as you, can´t connect or sync via wifi, im just getting this message - "Unable to connect Wi-Fi Network - Error 0300" i've submited a ticket, but there is no solution at all.

I had same issue for 1.5 years with fenix 5+.

With FR935 I never had this kind of trouble nor with several Garmin sport watches before. And I prefer synchronisation per WiFi over Bluetooth/smartphone.

Now this trouble occured with my new FR945. Annoying!

Until now there is no solution.

For me it seems Router dependent. My own won't work, others will.

I’ve tried multiple routers.... still getting error0200. Reported it at the Garmin helpdesk. Very annoying especially when you bought the watch for training without a phone.

If you look into other devices forums, it seems to be a problem with a certificate. The same bad skills like with the Index Smart Scale, wich had NTP problems 1.5 years.
