945 HR Data Extremely Inaccurate

I really and truly don't get what's going on.  Some days it reads fine and my average heart rate is 120-140.  That seems normal.  But then I get days where my HR floats to 160 to 185.  This happens way to much and I have no explanation.

If I stop (or continue) and measure by hand I'm at 125 for example.   I have also tested this on more than one treadmill's hand sensors and same idea.   The data given by the HR sensor is crazy high.

Other around the house activities too like post run my HR doesn't come down for hours  even though again hand measurement its like 60 but my 945 will say around 100.  Where is this data coming from?  Is there a way to calibrate?

My skin pigmentation is pretty pale under there (have a big watch tan) and have even shaved the hair down to improve accuracy - but nothing.

So what gives?
