Training load from Polar Beat

Hi Everyone,

My main sport is CrossFit, and in some cases during a metcon it is only possible to wear a heart rate monitor, without my 945 nearby. For example during a workout that involves running and exercises on a pull up bar (wearing gymnastic grips doesn't go well with the watch). Therefore, I use the Polar H10, as this has the option to save data onto the chest strap itself.

I uploaded a workout from Polar Beat to Garmin Connect via https://flow-exporter.ddns.net/index.php and the activity is nicely displayed on Garmin Connect.

However, on my training load overview it doesn't add the workout onto the weekly load?

Any thoughts on this or tricks to ensure this get's corrected?

  • Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but the training load does not appear because the activity was not recorded using the 945. The workaround would be to have 945 paired with H10, start the activity on the watch and then leave it somewhere on the side in its bluetooth range. Thus you'll have the activity with HR data recorded on the watch while not wearing watch itself.

You can use the Swim HRM, in your 945 just star the activity, with the strap near and detected, at the end of the activity you can download the info from the hrm.

  • This is possible, but the swim HR strap will not be able to record distance for any activity. Former Member mentioned running as well as strength movements.

  • the training load does not appear because the activity was not recorded using the 945.

This is correct. The activity will need to be recorded on your Forerunner 945 to see these metrics.
