Watch reboots when uploading m3u playlists with bad paths

So I have copied some folders with mp3s onto the watch, and created some playlists (*.m3u) for them.

Today I messed up some of my .m3u files, so they contained a few files/paths that were not on the watch (yet). The watch would reboot when I tried to upload these files - it should handle this error more gracefully, ideally giving some feedback about the problem or just swallowing it and ignoring any missing files.

  • I know this is old...so many questions don't get answered in these forums, but I wanted to let you know that IF your mp3's are audiobooks and they started out as Audible (.aax/.aa) files, you can use the free AAX Audio Converter to convert them to numbered files across chapters (and break those up additionally by 5min increments (default) or whatever you want to make the watch more easily play in order without having a resume/skipping nightmare occur for longer stuff...and they generate a .M3u file as well...I just got a Forerunner 945 LTE and have yet to test this, but it seems the safest method for longer play stuff...
