Firmware 2.80 doesn't available

I try to upgrade my garmin 945 to firmware 2.80, but neither on the Watch nor on Garmin Express.

What I am doing wrong?

If you bought it through amazon in the US and it is listed as APAC, I would contact amazon for a refund. They should not be selling APAC devices in the US. You can tell if it is an APAC device by the PN…

Diferent versions of our devices will be on their own release schedule. if you have an APAC or Asia specific variant, you will have a different software version currently.

At least on the Fenix devices you could open the garmindevice.xml that is located in the Garmin folder.

There should be an XML-tag called description which will contain APAC after the product name. I never did that myself, just remembering an earlier discussion because that APAC issue is an evergreen. Sorry to say it frankly but when you bought an APAC device, it's basically a ticket to be treated as a 2nd class customer...

If you bought it through amazon in the US and it is listed as APAC, I would contact amazon for a refund. They should not be selling APAC devices in the US. You can tell if it is an APAC device by the PN on the outside of the box. A North American market model will have a part number ending in -00 or -10.
