battery drain in FW 2.80 very high 50% more

since FW 2.80 my battery drain goes up to 50% more as before, haven't changed anything on my setup!

before FW 2.80 for 24h arround 7-8%

now with FW 2.80 in 12 hours the same, lost 8%

Anyone experiencing high battery drain should start with a hard reset (holding the power button for up to 15 seconds). If this does not resolve the issue, more information will likely be needed from you…

hello Former Member,

what i can tell for sure is that currently (with only spo2 activated during night and daily steps tracking) the battery life of the 945 is way worse compared to the 935. with 1-2 workouts…

Can't we have statement from Garmin if they have noted that there is an issue with battery drain and they plan to solve it?

from 100% to 62% in 25 hours: turned off by night, 2 workouts (1:15 each). I think it's not perfect but it's not so bad.

I just hold light button for about 15 seconds until the screen turned black

No, before FW2.80 the altitude measurement was already done over 24 hours and it's the barometer who measure altitude.

But he must have something else Pulse OX measurement who drain battery.

what i can tell for sure is that currently (with only spo2 activated during night and daily steps tracking) the battery life of the 945 is way worse compared to the 935. with 1-2 workouts/ day with a duration of 45min-1h:15 i need to recharge it every 3 days, at that point being at around 20% battery left. if i add music during the run workout, well - it goes downhill :-)

Levon - the hard reset won't erase anything, so no worries ;-)

Thanks! That's reassuring.

I've also noticed that the battery takes a real hit when listening to podcasts/music - though I can't compare this to anything since this is my first watch with this (very cool) ability.

no worries. regarding music - well - officially it's 10h with gps + music, but from what i've seen that's on the very positive side. actually i'll do a test one of these days...
