Finding \garmin files in devices internal storage drive

HI, all. Forgive me if this question has been asked already.  I just got a 945 and would like to download the 2.72 firmware. However, I can't find the Garmin files on my internal storage device to save my life. Attempting this on a MacBook AIr. I am sure the solution is blindingly obvious but would appreciate any support. Driving me crazy. Thank you!

    Mac users will need to use some software as Mac doesn't just work.

    The Mac does not natively see MTP drives like Windows does so if you want to copy a file to it  you need something like the Android File Transfer program.  That program and Garmin Express can not be running at the same time because Garmin Express can also access MTP drive format (which the Forerunner 945 uses).  MTP is needed because of music copyright.
