Ever since I got my FR945 in June, I noticed my watch 'hangs' a few minutes once in while. This usually happens after an activity or close to midnight. What happens when my watch 'hangs' is that the steps stops counting and sometimes the compass will not work as well (the display will show --- instead of the degrees). Usually, the watch 'hangs' for about 10-15 minutes but it will recover by itself and the steps and compass will be working normally again. However, there will be some battery drain as well. I noticed the battery will drain by about 5% or more after it recovers. This happens in both firmware 2.5 and 2.7.
Also, just today 15 minutes after saving a running activity, I noticed that watched 'hanged' again. But this time, on top of the steps not tracking, the watch also had issues with the heart rate, stress and body battery logging. When I checked the respective widgets, I noticed the graphs stopped logging from the 'hang' onwards. Even though 4 hours has passed since the running activity, the graphs seemed to have frozen in time and they stopped just after the activity. Interestingly, when I synced my 945 to Garmin Connect, the heart rate seems to be tracking normally and continuously even after the 'hang' but as for the stress and body battery, they stopped after the 'hang'. Had to restart the watch to get them working normally again.
Any ideas on how to prevent this issue in the first place?
