The Forerunner 245/245M/945 will all get PacePro. The FR945 will also get widget glances and map themes (including popularity/heatmaps). TBD/TBA for the FR945 on getting power/battery…
PacePro, Widget glances, new ClimbPro gradient, Map Themes, 6 data fields per page are all confirmed for FR945 this fall at latest.
I would like 6 data on one page as on screens with F6 on my FR945. I know i can use custom CIQ field but still i have more trust for build in fields (not to crash) and i assume battery would be better…
I made a separate partition post in the forum, so people can voice their desire for the Fenix 6 features. Personally I would REALY like the new battery mode and manager for ultra endurance events and training while on low battery. Jacket mode also sounds cool for travel without a charger!
I made a petition page, where people can specifically ask for features from the Fenix 6 to be added to the 945. For one Garmin haven't decided about whether to transfer Battery modes.
Petitions on a forum are going to make ZERO difference to whether garmin migrate features over to the 945! Who's going to say 'no' to new stuff ?
Its like the petitions for/against Brexit in the UK!
Yes, they say they add the 6 data field page
I seriously don't want them on my 945. Instead of new feature Garmin should invest time debugging the existing features, and make them reliable, than add support for less common sports. Why does paddle sport activities do not support cadence sensors? No connection to the rowing machine, etc. Multisport is sure more than triathlon and the support is bad to non existing, just renamed generic profiles. And seriously, there is not much need for more and more features anyway. Most of the stuff is nice to have at best. Get out and do sports...
PacePro is already available on GC and GCM for those who want to try it out. Sending to 945 is obviously not possible yet.
Played with it yesterday. Waiting for changes how much the uphill effort slider can change the pace.
