Just wanted to give some insight into my replacement of my 945. The OHR was cracking like many (I got my 945 the day REI started shipping them. So I've had it since June). The live chat just asked me for the SN, and if I was in the US. Took 10 minutes and they shipped a new one to me. No fuss, no drama, and have the new one on right now 5 days later.
Not sure if they changed the process, I am guessing my SN was flagged as a bad batch watch. So check if yours is cracking and get that stuff fixed!
