Only getting phone call notifications on watch

I am not sure what happened but I am no longer getting text message notifications on my watch. Now, I am only getting phone call notifications. Last week this was working perfectly fine and my phone has not been updated with any new software lately. I now see a message saying that Garmin Connect needs permission and that I need to reboot my phone. Since my phone has not changed at all, I am inclined to think this is a bug with the Garmin Connect app. Any ideas?

Same problem here with 2.7 and this week on Android.

I've just remove and install Garmin connect and now it works fine!

Thank you for the reply. I tried turning off my watch a few times and now I am getting notifications again. I will see how long this lasts until it happens again.

Well that "fix" lasted about 1 day. My watch again stopped receiving messages.
