Position for hotkeys

What exactly are you asking? I could well be being stupid but surely you need to get your position from the satellites before you can store your position, hence asking you to activate GPS. Or are you referring to a hotkey to quickly recall an already stored position?

The use case is, to store the current position using a hotkey. This don't works with the 945. I assigned a hotkey to position but as soon as I use it the watch tells me i have to activate gps first. Imo the watch should switch on gps and get the location afterwards.

I setup the hot key to try to duplicate and when I press it it says “Wait for GPS” and shows the start of the red circle showing GPS status. 

I have the shortcut set up in the controls menu as well and it operates the same as above. 

What version of the firmware are you running? I am using 2.70 and have been using this feature since 2.50 with no problem.

Logic says that even when a position is stored, a GPS fix is needed to verify the position when you recall your position using a hotkey.

I have set my "long press BACK" to save position and sitting here at my desk and trying it it immediately goes to "waiting for gps" (just installed 2.72, not tried before without already having gps synced)
