Battery consumption after 2.70 update

Hi,

My watchface Blink measures the minutes in high power mode per day. Yesterday I got 62 minutes in high power mode. The days before was around 80 minutes average. Tonight my watch did update to 2.70 and at 6 am I got 262 minutes in high power mode. This means, the watch don't falls back to low power mode causing a high battery drain.

After a hard reset it is lower but not back to normal on 2.60 niveau.

My 945 has gone up to 0.765% / hour constant since 2.7 equal to about 5 days battery life.

Mine is showing 3x batt use compared to 2.50. Did a reset, no change.

I also mentioned that battery drains faster on 2.70 then before.

Yep although I did a hard reset it's higher than on 2.60. I haven't realized more high power usage but the battery drains higher anyway, probably due to increased background processing. Garmin, what about some verification regression test on that background behavior before releasing new firmware?

I do have the same issue regarding the battery drain since 2.70.

I have the same issue. At least 3% per 1,5 h. According to the spec the 945 should run 12 days in smartwatch mode...Impossible.

I send the 945 back if Garmin will not fix this bug.

It is very sad, that a update causes so many bugs as I can see in this forum...

After update to 2.7 the battery drains ~3 times faster than it was with 2.5

More than 10% over 24 hours as watch only, no training.

Well that is not too bad is it? That would mean about 9-10 days in Watch mode, which is not extremely far off from the 12 days Garmin promises. Currently on 0.450 long term myself, after the FW 2.70 update, which is comparable to usage on 2.64

Mine have now done 23% in 24 hours with one 30 min outdoor run (PulseOx enabled)
