Why is the swim stroke recognition inaccurate(945)?

I don't know why all my freestyle swimming postures in the pool are recognized as breaststroke. I wear it on my left hand, but I use other watches (such as Huawei Watch gt) to be accurate. My swimming posture should be standard. I am Chinese.

Try the new beta firmware just released, 2.72. It has a stroke fix

I've seen some recent pool swims where my 945 decides I did backstroke which I practically never do. It's not super often, but sometimes happens. It's not super meaningful to me as I almost exclusively swim freestyle so that's all I care about for times. Can't honestly remember if my 935 was any more or less accurate.

where to see swimming stroke? i could not find it in the watch nor in garmin connect

When your viewing the activity on your phone, look at the 3rd tab with your intervals listed and turn your phone landscape. This will show additional fields including the swim stroke.

Did you enable swim stroke detection?

It's usually because your stroke does not match the pattern of movement Garmin is using to determine your stroke. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I have just happened this today: I started swimming freestyle, in about 2-3 strokes I had to stop to align my goggles, then I continued the lap freestyle. The watch picked it up as breaststroke:

All my other laps were identified correctly

etc.
