Incorrect pace alerts during workout - 945 SW 2.60

I'm using the 945 / Foot Pod / HR-TRI for treadmill workouts. I have not yet used the 945 for

an outside run. Over the course of several workouts, I've adjusted the Foot Pod calibration

factor in the 945 such that the total distance of the activity as reported by the 945 and the

treadmill match. All good so far.

The issue that I am seeing, is that despite the total activity distance matching, the pace

(lap, current, etc.) as reported by the 945 audio alerts during the activity are considerably off.

Probably 10-20% error.

Is this a known issue? Is the calibration factor not used when the 945 reports the pace?

Again the reported distance does not have this issue.

Hmm, did a treadmill workout with my (calibrated to the treadmill) Garmin footpod and 2.70 yesterday and pace alerts were ok.

I can remember though that there were issues with the 935 (yes, 935) and bluetooth footpods where calibration was not taken into account. What brand are you using?

I'm using the Garmin footpod.

Bought it from Garmin along with the 945 tri bundle last week.

We'll see if 2.70 changes the behavior.

What are the settings of your footpod for pace and distance?

Both speed and distance settings for FP are set to indoor.

Might give it a try, I have set both to ALWAYS as I am using my Garmin footpod only on the treadmill.

Autocalibration is off, I suppose?

Thanks for the replies. I'll play around with the settings later today.

I left the default values for all FP setting aside from auto calibration. I turned it off since I was manually adjusting the calibration factor value.

I'll let you know how it goes.
