Navigate direct to waypoint. Not along a path.

Hi and thanks in advance. I am trying to navigate to a saved location or waypoint but the mapping software wants me to follow a known path or trail. Is it possible to navigate in a direct line.

Go in to the required activity app settings (this can be done 'on the fly' whilst the app is recording by a long press of the Up button) and go to "Routing" then "Activity" then select "Direct Routing…

Go in to the required activity app settings (this can be done 'on the fly' whilst the app is recording by a long press of the Up button) and go to "Routing" then "Activity" then select "Direct Routing". Don't forget to change that Routing setting back to whatever it was before, if you want to go back to the map routing later. Simples!
