foodprint of Forerunner 945

Are there any documents about the foodprint of the Forerunner 945? What materials are used? What is the total energy/water consumption? How much CO2/waste water and what else is produced while manufacturing this watch?

Many thanks in advance :-)

Of course, they are made from the tears of their customers.

On average a human produces 1.2ml of tears a day, excreting 128g of solid waste and exhailing 2.3 pounds of CO2.

  • No idea. But I’m taking  mine off and going to a wrist mounted sundial with a gnomon all made from recycled materials by unemployed islanders living on the fringes of society on a tiny atoll that can only be saved by building a giant coffer dam out of the cast-off technology of the free-living western world who have sucked on the mammary gland of humankind for too long without considering the consequences.

  • As you can tell, no one here is going to take this serious and will poke fun at the question. I'd make the effort to call Garmin directly for a press comment (if this is in regards to fact gathering for an article) otherwise Garmin is based in Olathe Kansas, snoop around the city's sites to help direct you to your answers.

  • Technically the majority of the fitness devices are produced in Taiwan(maybe even all of them?), so I'm not sure if any of that information would be available to anyone. The main engineering and shipping hub is at the Olathe facility, so maybe they would have that data.

  • Well, my response was leading someone to the door; I'm not going to do the leg work beyond it. Still, a cold call to the company could be a start if they want to know.
