945 Extended Display to Phone?

I know it's possible to use my 945 and a Garmin Edge computer to "mirror" my watch stats in Extemded Display Mode. Is it possible through the same method (or any other method) to mirror the stats from my 945 to an app/screen on my phone? I only want to collect data via the 945, and have my phone mounted above the bars on my bike and want to be able to view time, distance, etc.

The Idea himself is fine, but not possible, anyway it would be interesting, for example to mirror the Screen to a tv too for Indoor training

We could ask in the Developer Forum?

The developer forum is really only CIQ and this wouldn't be something for CIQ. The best place would be to send the idea to Garmin:

I guess it will not be accepted as it will reduce dramatically the purchase of Garmin cycle computers...

with Connect IQ 3.1 it's possible to Connect to the world of other devices or?

is it not possible to send datafields live then?

sure, but nobody will use a big TV on his Bike

a tv screen like Trainerroad Trainings, but without to pay Trainerroad.

I can do nearly the same training with %FTP target power with Edge, but why i have to look on small Edge Screen, when it is eventually possible to send it to tv or a Tablet?

Nope. for this to work it would need to be in the firmware. to get the data for any activity.

Even before 3.1, there was the ANT/ANT+ connectivity.

I was just looking for this same functionality. Does anyone know if this might be coming in the future?

Plug the Pi into a TV and have it effectively act like a giant Edge device in extended display mode.
