@Garmin: New software update highly appreciated!

I wrote yesterday in the 2.50 bug thread:

"2.50 appeared on June, 7th and since then nothing but a GPS beta and beta 2.62. I changed from 935 to 945 to be in a constant update cycle and begin to be disappointed."

Garmin has been behaving this way for over 10 yrs now.  Customers are effectively beta users.  This is sadly what you buy into with Garmin...

Agree. We are all part of Garmin’s endless beta programme, except there’s not the support you’d get in a well run beta group 

No, not my experience. It was getting worse over the last few years, that is true. When I think back to my first devices, a 910XT and a 610, the complexity was much lower and the stuff more or less worked flawlessly without need for updates. With the highly increased connectivity and complexity, they seem to be overwhelmed.

Well, as stated above: I bought a 945 to be at the top position when it comes to updates and new features and I am really beginning to regret my decision.

That's probably true but complexity of these newer devices vs something like the 705 or 405 or 610 is night and day.  My 405/405cx had way more problems that my 935 (which was basically flawless).  The 945 has gone backwards vs 935 imo.

True. And the complexity of the eco system (watch, Smartphone, pc, sensors, platforms) is making things worse.
