Losing steps

My 945 keeps losing steps. The bar chart below the step count in connect shows the correct steps and goes orange to show I've hit my target but my total step count is as much as 6000 down. Customer service are ignoring me. Any suggestions?

Do you have multiple devices and the 945 is not set as the preferred by chance?

Nope, it's my only Garmin and the only tracker I'm using at all at the moment

  • The only time I see the mobile app (GCM) show less steps than the watch is when I have not synced it yet. Once synced the watch and GCM should be displaying the same number (and that number should on the watch really not be smaller than what it was before the sync, only potentially higher if multiple devices are involved).

Let's say I have walked 1000 steps in the day. Then I select walk activity and walk 2000 steps. The watch only shows 2000 steps. It deletes the previous 1000 steps. When I sync the watch with Garmin connect, the Garmin app shows 3000 steps but watch still shows 2000.
