Weather Widget Not Updating Appropriately

My weather widget does not update the weather throughout the day while connected to my phone. It seems that the weather just gets stuck at a certain temperature and never updates. When I dig into the widget it’ll show me the correct hourly temperatures but they don’t match up with “current weather” either on the widget or on my watch face.

The only way the 945 updates to the current weather is after I pair and unpair and restart everything; phone, watch, Bluetooth. This is starting to get stupid ridiculous and is not intuitive AT ALL, as the weather is a large part of the new training performance factors I want this thing to function perfectly. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have my 945 paired to my iPhone 6 on latest iOS and most up to date Connect app. All these connect features work; ie message alerts, upload of activities etc.

You need to have GPS lock on the Garmin watch before you can use weather widget.

Hmm... I’ve been doing runs and rides with GPS and it’s still just says Waiting for Data on the weather widget and two “- -“ on the watch face. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Don't waste your time doing all these things. It's GCM running on an iPhone. Call Garmin support and they will tell you Mid-November for a fix.

Yep. 5 total weeks of this stuff before we have a so called fix.

I have update 4.10 and my weather is inaccurate. I am based in Cape Town South Africa. Which weather service does Garmin use for weather information on the watches?

it depends on the location determination you use on your mobile phone (not disabled) , if it's correct there, it will be synced to your watch

I have an android phone and the only weather app on my phone is yr weather. currently my phone widget is on 26 degrees but my watch is on 17 degrees. Ive synced it via the Garmin app and from the watch as well but it does not update.

yr weather can't work, you need the information of your Android OS, in this case google, you have to allow tracking, location determination and so on
