Strength actitivy without sets?

Hello,

honestly, I really like my Garmin watches. But what I really don't want to do is pushing buttons during my workout. So I would really like to the Forerunner to monitor my strength activity but without asking me for sets, reps or weight. I managed to change the activity like this on my Fenix 5. But with my Forerunner I have no clue how to do this.

Can anybody help me?

  • For me, I can just start the activity and it automatically detects series and rest periods. When in rest period I ignore the watch, start the series and after a few reps it vibrates to indicate than a series have been detected, then it vibrates again when I finish the series.

  • You could try the "auto set" setting in the strength  workout app. Or have you tried  just deleting the "repetition page"  from the training sites?

  • I never bother with the sets etc for a strength workout - I dont really see the point of tracking reps etc for me. So I just use a cardio activity to log HR and time, and then change it to a strength workout in sporttracks/strava.

Thank you for all your answers! I will now try out your hints and hope that one of it gives me the convenience I have had before.
