It has an internal temperature sensor (used in conjugation with the air pressure) and it will show the temperature of the watch, but not really either ambient or body temperature.
It's the same as on the f5x+ and a number of other watches with a baro altimeter.
I am not sure if this will be the case. My observation is that the displayed temperature on the corresponding widget has some sort of offset in order to predict the ambient temperature better reducing the impact of body heat on the reading. Thus, even when the watch was not worn for a couple of hours, the temperature shown was still a few degrees colder than the actual ambient temperature measured with a seperate thermometer.
If you want ambient temperature, get a Tempe. Trying to use the internal sensor would mean on going re-calibrations, as wearing the watch/not wearing it would impact any calibration, as would an ambient of 70f vs 90F and long sleeves or short sleeves.
You can add the temperature widget, but indeed... it's just the watch sensor which means some mixture of body and outside temp...Mine doesn't go over 32 degrees celcius over te last 4 hours, it's about 22 degrees outside and think about 20 inside.
I'll leave it for 20-30 minutes on my desk and see if it will report the ~20 degrees ;)
*Edit*
And now, 35 minutes later it says 24 degrees (think it said 28 or 29 at the start) which is higher then the room temp, but no thermometer here so can't say how far it's off. Perhaps I'll try at home where I can check.
