Training load not migrated to new watch

Just moved over to a 945 from a Fenix 5+. In GC my training load is only calculated for the last few days and not overall from the use of my 5+. I have TrueUp enabled.

I effectively have two training load stats, one for my 945 (a few days worth) and one for my 5+ (months of data).

Is this normal? How can I consolidate them together?

  • To my knowledge, Training Load should transfer flawlessly between those particular devices... and your previous Training Load should also be automatically distributed into the new Training Load Focus categories. I believe this should be the case for all Garmin watches that calculate Training Load, Aerobic and Anaerobic Training Effect. (FR935 and Fenix 5 and 5+, etc). Unfortunately, I don't know what's happened in your situation, but yes, it should work.

  • Thanks for your reply.

Over the last few years I have had a FR935, 3x Fenix 5+ (due to hardware issues) and now a FR945. All now have separate training loads and exercise loads in GC. Having removed the old devices from GC they are referred to as 'Other 1', 'Other 2', 'Other 3' etc.

How can I get these stats combined as TrueUp doesnt seem to work in this instance?

    Thanks

  • Wow, yeah, sorry. I haven't seen that in my personal experience and have no idea how to fix that, maybe someone else can help?

  • I had a 5x replaced under warrantee about 9 months in. When I got the replacement my training load data etc remained stubbornly separate and never consolidated. I did ask and I think Garmin said it doesn't combine. This lack of continuity is one of the reasons i am holding off replacing my 5x with a 945 as I don't want to "start again" again. If you or anyone reading this knows how to get the data to consolidate after replacing a watch, I'd be grateful hear about it. Cheers

  • Doesn't combine for me either - not from when I switched from F5 to F5X to FR945, nor now if when cycling I use my Edge530 vs the FR945, so now I just save the FR945 activity and discard that from the Edge, which is sort of lame.
