Training status using biking VO2max instead of running?

I occasionally run but mostly bike. My 'Training Status' screen only takes my running VO2max into account when showing my fitness. Is there a way to change this to biking or all sports? The 'Load' part seems to take into account biking. If I can't change the default app, does someone have a widget that can do this?

    Quick update - my watch has suddenly started showing me biking training status instead of running... Maybe since I've done mostly biking this week and mostly running last week? I wish I could select one or the other, or better yet it could use both!

  • The docs state it uses whichever VO2Max value has been updated most in the recent past.

  • This is correct. Essentially the goal is to use the most reliable, most representative trend line in your VO2max fitness history. The fact that there is typically a slight, but significant, difference (generally ascribed to differences in muscular utilization) between cycling and running VO2max makes it wise to only use one or the other at any given time.
