Automatic upload of sessions

I have Auto Upload set to true, and expected my watch to upload training sessions automatically to Garmin. This does not seem to work properly - normally I must open the Garmin Connect app and sync there.

It this expected behaviour? How often is the auto upload scheduled to run? All the time, or a couple of times a day?

Noticed this behavior too although in most cases, the automatic upload works. In some cases it doesn't, but I can not give a pattern. What I can state is, that the automatic upload definitely kicks in later than it was with my 935, independent if there is a WiFi or BT connection.
