Upgrade to 2.48 or 2.50 (can't wait to lose the lap button)

I have been trying to upgrade to 2.48, I have the files and added to the necessary folders. When I disconnect the watch, it doesn't update. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I can't find 2.50 anywhere... any ideas?

I really want to disable the lap button during workouts. I used this "disabled" feature to access the other functions on my watch all the time with the 935, not having the ability not to have it is irritating.

I feel a bit smarter now. Thank you. I do have an APAC watch.
Do I have to wait for an APAC ver 2.50 or can I safely fool my watch into thinking it's a legit member of the international community?

2.50 is an OTA update, meaning you'll get it through garmin express for example...

Perhaps you have an APAC watch? (Asian PAcific), it gets updates way slower then ROW watches (Rest Of World)
